Yoga and Contemporary Dance Instructor
I am a certified Kripalu Yoga Teacher. I started doing yoga years ago as a way to de-stress my life and deal with depresssion. Soon I was at a crossroads in my life. I wanted a new career, but didn’t know what. A wise soul told me, in the immortal words of Joseph Campbell, “Follow your Bliss”. I immediately knew that I wanted to be a yoga teacher.
I went to a month-long, 200 hour intensive training at the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health to become certified and moved to the Warren area. I went back in 2006 to get further training in Life Force Yoga, a yoga practice designed to help with depression. In 2007, I returned yet again to get certified to teach prenatal yoga.
In addition to basic yoga classes, I also offer classes in yoga for depression, the Tibetan Rites, restorative yoga for headaches, insomnia, cold symptoms, and more. I teach private lessons, yoga for corporations, and prenatal yoga.
