Blood Chemistry Analysis

It’s not uncommon to feel like something is “off”.

It’s also not uncommon to go to your practitioner with concerns only to have them run very limited lab work, tell you your results are totally normal even though you know something isn’t right, not take you seriously when you explain that you’d like to find the cause instead of just taking a pill.

This might leave you using Dr. Google to find answers, feeling frustrated because you feel like no one can help you, taking random supplements, dieting to no avail, giving up or all of the above.

Your symptoms tell a lot of the story, BUT they are just one part of the puzzle. I like to see data. I like to analyze concrete information. I help you by giving you a perspective about your health that you’ve never considered before.

Here’s how a Blood Chemistry Analysis Session stands apart from a conventional approach:

Your Blood Chemistry Session Includes:

  • Your lab work to be analyzed from a functional perspective using optimal ranges

  • Patterns to be examined and observations shared with you

  • An understanding of interconnectedness within your own body

  • An initial email exchange to help you answer any questions regarding lab work

  • A 60 Minute Session to discuss the analysis and additional recommendations

  • A follow up email exchange to clarify any points from our 60 minute session

Benefits of this Blood Chemistry Analysis Session:

  1. Inexpensive - a small investment with me now may save you thousands of dollars down the road

  2. Easy to get - the testing I use can be obtained via your practitioner (you may even have lab work in hand from a previous doctor visit that I can use) or I can work with you to get them online inexpensively

  3. Helps to show areas where further testing may be needed

  4. Provides valuable and life changing information

  5. Give us a sound, concrete starting point using your body’s own data, to create a wellness plan

These sessions consist of an initial email consult, followed by an in person or zoom one hour session  to review the findings and recommendations.

Problems with using the lab’s reference range to interpret a report:

  • Reference ranges can vary between different labs and US states

  • Reference ranges are based on the average population…which is largely sick.

Why we want to use an optimal “functional” range to interpret a report:

  • Based on values seen in a disease-free population

  • These values have not been associated with an increased risk of dysfunction or disease in research studies

“Normal” is NOT optimal:

  • “Normal” doesn’t reflect what is healthy, is reflects what is common

  • Missing an opportunity to address dysfunction BEFORE it turns into disease

Common Blood Chemistry Panels:

  • CMP (Comprehensive Metabolic Panel)

  • Lipid Panel

  • CBC (Complete Blood Count)

  • Iron Panel

  • Thyroid Panel + Antibodies

Additional Individual Markers:

  • Vitamin D

  • Vitamin B12

  • Blood Sugar Regulation Markers (fasting insulin, Hemoglobin A1C)

  • Methylation Markers: Homocysteine, Histamine

*You do not need to have all these marker present in order to take advantage of a thorough session. In fact, many people wait until our initial email exchange to get fresh lab work completed, if needed.

Still have more questions?  Check out this complete explanation in the video from Stephanie!  Click on the worksheet next to the video to see which markers will be examined in your bloodwork.
